Resistance to injustice is not radicalism. And defenders of democracy are not enemies of democracy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What we are experiencing: The twisting of concepts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We often experience this in times of crisis or when systems become authoritarian:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Citizens who invoke fundamental rights are defamed as \u201ctroublemakers\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Peaceful protests are portrayed as \u201chostility to the state\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The media and politicians delegitimize opposition with terms such as \u201cconspiracy theorist\u201d, \u201cReichsb\u00fcrger\u201d, \u201cconspiracy theorist\u201d, \u201cright-wing\u201d or \u201cenemy of democracy\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Anyone who disagrees is not heard &#8211; but suspected.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is dangerous. Because:<br\/><strong>A democracy without dissent is not a democracy &#8211; it is a closed ideology.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What constitutes real democracy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rule of law &#8211; also for critics.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Freedom of expression &#8211; even for the uncomfortable.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Freedom of assembly &#8211; also for minorities.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Opposition &#8211; not as an enemy, but as a controlling authority.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Democracy needs precisely those people who <strong>are prepared to stand up for it<\/strong>, even if it is uncomfortable or risky.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why this accusation delegitimizes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those who categorize committed citizens as \u201cextremist\u201d achieve three things:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>He intimidates others<\/strong> from speaking out critically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>It shifts the political debate<\/strong> from content to defamation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>It destroys the pluralistic basic idea of democracy.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This does not protect democracy &#8211; it disguises authoritarian thinking.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Our position<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We2030 says:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The defense of freedom, fundamental rights and the rule of law is <strong>the highest form of democratic responsibility.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Criticism of the state, measures or institutions is <strong>not extremism &#8211; it is an expression of civic duty.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Those who stand up for enlightenment, separation of powers, freedom of opinion and direct democracy are at <strong>the heart of the democratic ethos<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is why we demand:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the <strong>rehabilitation of peaceful democracy movements<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the <strong>protection of all citizens from state, media or social defamation on the basis of legitimate criticism<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a clear distinction between <strong>extremist violence<\/strong> and <strong>democratic protest<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Anyone who defends democracy is not an extremist.<\/strong><br\/>Anyone who calls him that has already left democracy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Explanation and justification Democracy thrives on the commitment of its citizens &#8211; not on their submission.Anyone who defends it, points out grievances, demands fundamental rights and opposes the abuse of power is not acting radically, but democratically.
